The arts can be intimidating and expensive. Many are not aware of the various arts and cultural events that are happening in their city or where to find affordable tickets.
The objective for ArtTix is to make the arts more accessible to a diverse audience, offer a variety of tickets at an affordable price, and make purchases simple and effortless.
I began my research by performing a competitive analysis of current products on the market. Although there are various apps and websites that already offer discounted tickets, my research led me to discover that price was not the only driving factor in ticket sales. Many do not have the time to seek out arts and cultural events or aware of all the resources available to them.
I created an online survey and was able to acquire answers from 83 individuals. To get a better understanding of my users, I also conducted 12 interviews. Through my findings, I developed personas, scenarios, and user flows, as well as designed wireframes and an interactive prototype for ArtTix—a comprehensive app that provides access to the arts at an affordable price. Users will be able to receive push notifications on upcoming shows dependent on their taste preference, learn about the company or performer, view photos and videos, read reviews from other users, as well as track artists and organizations.
